Week 9
Situation:
With the first cutscene finished, it needed narration. After which we would need to move forward with the second cutscene.
Task:
We need a narration for the cutscene and the second cutscene.
Action:
I started by looking around for the best AI tool to use for a demon voice. I went through a lot of websites before I landed on,'https://voicechanger.io/'. They were free to use, had the necessary tools and could be used infinitely. I started recording the voice lines I had prepared as per my writing. Once I was done with the lines, I set them up in the level sequencer. This was a time consuming process as I needed to match the scene.
After I was done with the process of matching the voices, I thought of how to make the devil more reactive. In order to make the devil speak, I added a second head on the model and made his lips move. This gave the illusion of speaking.
Finally, I started the second cutscene. The second cutscene was a smaller cutscene that played when the protagonist takes the second coin and sins. This was fairly easy and I spent a good amount of time ensuring the particle effects were great.
Result:
We finished the first cutscene completely and added extra animations to the devil. The second cutscene was also made and ready to be narrated over.
Summary:
Hope decided to push back the presentation day so we had more time to refine our work now. We continued working on our own side of the project separately as we had no deliverables that relied on each other. I continued working on my cutscenes and other visual and narrative prospects.
