Week 6

Situation:

We had successfully finished capturing the level and had a solid idea in our heads. So we started populating the world with characters and started thinking about the upcoming presentation.

Task:

We needed a slides for the pitch and documentation for the proposal.

Action:

Since I had started the documentation, I felt it was only fair I continued doing them. I started by itemizing all the story points, technical points and other interesting facts about the project. I didn't want the presentation to go too long so I only presented the most important of those points and created a powerpoint with 10 slides. After that I started to work on the document that had a later submission date.

Result:

We had a solid powerpoint slides and our documentation was very detailed as it was done from the very start. We had a lot of things preplanned so it was a lot easier this time around.

Summary:

With the success of capturing the level, Leo and I were both excited with the prospect of making a game unlike something we've ever done. He started making the rest of the levels with the obstacles, enemies and the everything else. I started working on how the Devil would act with the book and how each character would be represented. I wanted a silent protagonist that the players could fill themselves in.

We had a presentation next week so I instead focused on documentation. I made the powerpoint slides and added to my future GDD file and used that to make my proposal for the game.
