Week 4
Situation:
Our newly formed group had just agreed to an idea. The previously discussed idea of a book based game was viable after I managed to successfully create a book prototype. Now was the time to get moving with more substantial work on the idea.
Task:
We needed to start the documentation and planning our timelines.
Action:
As Leo had taken the responsibility to program and see if he could make a level, I started on the documentation that would eventually be the GDD. I also wrote down a substantial amount of lore and how the story would work with the beginning, middle and end after the discussion with Hope. We also started looking into what we expect and how much we expect to do by certain times in the project.
Result:
The documentation was solid and had a base for the future GDD we would have to submit. Using Trello and discussing the timeline, we agreed we'd want the work to be done before the presentation so we would put extra effort into finishing this project.
Summary:
After previous week, I managed to fulfill my deliverable. As such, we w moved forward with the idea and ensured that we would indeed make a game with a book as it's main stage. Since Leo would take over programming, I decided we should get a head start on the writing as well as discuss what we expect from each other and how much time we want to spend on the project. This led to us separating the workload for the week as stated above.
